Lake Oswego, OR – Olive Gallagher, respected ethicist and founder/CEO of Personal Best®, announced today she will begin to write her nationally syndicated column, The Inner Bottom Line®, for OregonLive.com and The Oregonian, Portland Oregon’s highly respected and popular online and print newspaper.
Readers will have the opportunity to enjoy the pieces first in the online edition prior to the content being available, as it has been for many years, in the national edition of the examiner.com and on the Personal Best website at www.theinnerbottomline.com. The weekly column, focused on ethical dilemmas and personal choices, was previously published in The Santa Fe New Mexican newspaper from 2002 – 2007.
When asked how and when this collaboration came about, Gallagher commented, “It’s a proposition that has been in discussion and under consideration since I first relocated up to Portland in June 2013. Launching the column online weekly, hopefully sometime in May, is solid proof that mutual thoughtfulness, patience, respect and commitment eventually can produce positive results; values and qualities that honor the essence and definition of The Inner Bottom Line.”
Gallagher continued, “I’m thrilled and honored to be invited to contribute to The Oregonian. Given the paradigm shift that all print publications have been experiencing as technology has evolved, it’s a privilege to be offered the chance to participate in this exceptional newspaper’s platform. As the project rolls out, we’re also planning to incorporate a number of innovative options and events to create dialogue and interaction with the readership via live chat, real-time Q&A’s etc. With today’s technology, there are any number of possibilities; all designed to create more connectivity and responsiveness to our reader’s needs.
Gallagher, author of The Nude Ethicist: A Simple Path to The Good Life™, published in 2004, is a 2009 Screenwriting Fellow of the American Film Institute Conservatory, where she won a 2009 Sloan Screenwriting Scholarship Award. She holds a BA in Humanities (English/Music) from Case Western Reserve University, attended the EPSC Program at Stanford Graduate School of Business, and is a seasoned creative director, national speaker, copywriter, editor, and senior brand marketing and advertising executive.
Along with her current life coaching private practice, Gallagher continues to help companies commit to ‘keeping their promises’, and plans to return to blogtalkradio to host The Inner Bottom Line weekly radio show sometime in the summer.
